Gather Studio is a modern sewing space in Auckland, founded by Kate Hancock, a self taught sewist who understands how daunting it can feel to get started.
Gather is a place where sewists of every level come to learn, make, and find their people. We're welcoming to all bodies, backgrounds, and identities, because making is for everyone.
We offer small, hands-on workshops where you'll make clothes you actually want to wear, open studio sessions where you can come in and just sew, and a carefully chosen range of fabrics, patterns, and notions, the things we'd buy ourselves. Whether you're picking up a machine for the very first time or you've been sewing for years, you belong here.
